Would you be quickerbybike?

Quickerbybike.com is a campaign to promote cycling to non-cyclists
& decent cycling to existing cyclists.

If you commute to work or school but not by bike,
would you consider switching?

It's probably quicker, healthier, more friendly, more independent, cheaper, quieter & brighter.

If you already ride, would you promote cycling via your shorts?

If you ride like a bit of a wally, running red lights & annoying other road users,

would you wear the shorts and ride decently?

quickerbybike car stickers?

It might sound daft but a car sticker delivers the message to just the same place that a logo on a bum does. Stickers are a bit cheaper than shorts. So stickers mean the message gets delivered to the right place a lot more often.

Vote for your slogan of choice before we get them produced. Any feedback or abuse gratefully received.

It's worth considering that the quickerbybike.com logo already conveys a lot of the message, so we don't want to duplicate that in the sticker slogan.

Shortlist:

"Life is short. Clock is ticking." quickerbybike.com

"Traffic is more fun on a bike." quickerbybike.com

"I would be there by now if I had cycled" quickerbybike.com

"I'm not having any fun" quickerbybike.com

"Why aren't I on my bike?" quickerbybike.com

"I wish I were on my bike." quickerbybike.com

What traffic!

sorry. that was my first blogg! 'What traffic' is what I wanted to write on my shorts! I like the last one is ok but the pure 'quicker by bike.com' car sticker says it all.
Cheers G.

There's lots to be said for that Gary, the name kind of says it all.

Other comments I've had are: since the quickerbybike.com name says so much, an additional slogan could hint at thebroader benefits. So "Life is short, clock is ticking" has had the most votes so far.

I'm inclined to agree with you though, just plain "quickerbybike.com" works.

I like "Life is short. Clock is ticking." and also
"Traffic is more fun on a bike."

However my mum always advises AGAINST playing with the traffic, and even with three lights, a helmet and an air horn she still worries about me going round Hammersmith roundabout on my bike!

I thought up some more options for you (some are a bit environmental)

Burn fat not petrol

Sweat smells sweeter than CO2

No emissions but my own

this body burns calories, not petrol

here are some cheeky ones:
zero petrol and a better ass to boot

get off your arse. ride a bike!

quicker than Clarkson

If you're laughing at me, get on your bike and try to keep up!

Does my bum look big in this?

Most people take the tube. Good luck most people!

Grasp life by the handlebars

Only a cyclist gets why a dog sticks his head out of the car window

When i'm over the hill i'm on the fast bit

Maybe this one could be illuminated:

Now can you bloody see me?!

some thought provoking ones:
choose the journey, choose life
choose a bike, choose life
i'll get there. eventually. (maybe that's just my cycling?!)
May the wind always be at your back.
Carpe Diem

And here's a famous one, but you'd need a big bum to get it all on which might defeat one of the objectives of bike riding:

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one pretty and well preserved piece... but to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out and defiantly shouting "Wow! What a Ride!"

oops i missed the point. i thought of these with cycle shorts in mind, rather than a car sticker.

The girl, these are brilliant.

The dog and the window is just perfect.

May I try to use it?

Thank you lots.
